How much does it cost to hire an influencer in Thailand? What the price depends on

How much it costs to hire an influencer in Thailand depends on the account and its topic, the number and type of posts, how long you can use the video in ads, exclusivity, and the time and travel the work needs. We do not publish a price list, because prices change with every job. Ask for a written quote that lists each part.

This guide is for owners of small brands, shops, clinics and restaurants in Thailand who want to hire an influencer or a KOL for the first time. You already know your product and your customers, and that is the most important part. This guide helps you understand a quote, compare people in a fair way, and prepare the agreement, the tax and the paid label.

How much does it cost to hire an influencer in Thailand, and why we give no price list

You can find many price lists for Thai influencers online. They come from agencies and blogs, and they often use different numbers for the same account size. We could not find an official public source for influencer prices in Thailand that we can link to. We do not want to give you a number that may be wrong for your job. Instead, this guide shows what the price depends on, so you can read any quote and ask the right questions.

Use in ads is an easy part to forget. Instagram says that you need the creator’s permission before you can promote their branded content posts. TikTok One, TikTok’s own platform for brands and creators, has a tool where brands ask creators for 365 days of ad use. Both show that ad use is a separate permission, and the person can ask a separate price for it.

How to hire an influencer in Thailand, step by step

1. Write your goal and your budget

Write one goal, for example more people who know your clinic, or more sales of one product. Then write the highest amount you can spend. A clear budget helps people tell you quickly what they can do for it.

2. Make a short list and check each account

Choose five to ten accounts that your customers already follow. For each one, look at the views on the last ten posts and read the comments. TikTok says that follower count is not a direct factor when it recommends videos, so recent views tell you more than the follower number. Good signs are comments from people like your customers, and replies from the person.

3. Send the same brief to everyone

Write a short brief: your product, your goal, the type and number of posts, the dates, ad use and exclusivity. When everyone gets the same brief, you can compare the quotes.

4. Ask for a written quote with each part

Ask for a price for each line of the table above. A quote with one total and no details is hard to compare. If the price is above your budget, you can ask what the person can do for your budget.

5. Sign a simple agreement

Use the checklist below. A short agreement in clear words protects both sides and makes the work easier.

6. Look at the results after seven days

Ask for a screenshot of the person’s insights for the post after seven days. Compare views, clicks and sales with your goal. Then you know who to work with again.

Checklist for an influencer or KOL agreement

  • What the person makes: type, number of posts, length and platform.
  • Dates for the draft, for your approval, and for the post.
  • How many rounds of changes are included.
  • Ad use: if you can use the video in ads, on which platforms, and for how many days.
  • Exclusivity: which brands, and for how long.
  • Payment: the amount, the date, and how much before and after the post.
  • The paid label the person will use on each platform.
  • How long the post stays online, and what happens if it is late.

This checklist is not legal advice. For a large job, ask a lawyer to look at the agreement.

Tax when you pay an influencer, and the paid label

The Revenue Department (กรมสรรพากร) has published a tax guide for influencers. It lists brand sponsorship, paid reviews and event fees as common income for influencers. It says that an influencer who is a person files tax twice a year: the half year form (ภ.ง.ด.94) from July to September, and the yearly form (ภ.ง.ด.90) from January to March of the next year. It also says that an influencer should keep records of income and costs. When sales of goods and services go above 1.8 million baht in a year, the influencer must register for VAT within 30 days.

A common question is withholding tax (ภาษีหัก ณ ที่จ่าย). The guide we read does not answer this question, so we do not give a rate here. Ask your accountant before you pay, and keep the receipt or invoice. On 17 February 2026, the Revenue Department also held a seminar for influencers about tax on reviews, ad work and gifts. You can call the Revenue Department at 1161 with questions.

Every paid post must be marked. Instagram says that anything received from business partners counts, money or otherwise, so a free product counts too. TikTok says that creators must turn on the commercial content disclosure setting when a post promotes a brand, a product or a service, and a video without it may not be shown in the For You feed.

Common mistakes when you hire an influencer

  • Comparing quotes for different work. What usually helps instead: send the same brief to everyone, and ask for a price for each part.
  • Forgetting ad use. What usually helps instead: decide before you ask for quotes if you want to use the video in ads, and for how many days.
  • Looking only at followers. What usually helps instead: ask for screenshots of recent views and of where the followers live.
  • Paying everything before the post. What usually helps instead: agree in writing how much you pay before and how much after the post.

Questions about the cost of hiring an influencer

How much does a micro influencer cost in Thailand?

We cannot give you a fair number, because the price depends on the topic, the type of work, ad use and exclusivity. Two accounts of the same size can ask very different prices. Send the same brief to a few people and compare their written quotes.

Can I use the influencer’s video in my own ads?

Only if you agree on it. Instagram says that the creator must give permission before a business can promote their branded content posts. Write in the agreement on which platforms you can use the video and for how many days.

Do I need to withhold tax when I pay an influencer?

Please ask your accountant. The answer depends on the type of payment and on who pays and who receives it. The Revenue Department’s guide for influencers explains their own tax forms, and you can call the Revenue Department at 1161.

Does a review with a free product need a paid label?

Yes. Instagram says that anything received from business partners counts, money or otherwise. TikTok asks creators to turn on its disclosure setting whenever a post promotes a brand, a product or a service.
