- Client
- Film actor in Thailand, after a news story
- Platform
- Starting point
- Many negative comments under his latest posts
- Period
- Three weeks
What the client needed
A news story about him was later corrected, but it brought many negative comments under his latest posts. Even after the correction, people who opened his profile only saw these comments.
This is common for: Public figures after a rumour, a wrong quote, or a news story that was later corrected.
What we did
He posted his own statement once, and we added likes so more people saw it. Under his latest posts, we added comments in Thai that he and his team wrote themselves. This put his side of the story next to the negative comments.
Why we chose this plan
Deleting comments makes things worse. When his own words are next to the negative comments, people can read both sides.
Before and after
We measured this over three weeks after the correction.
* This is a real case. To keep the client private, we changed the numbers by up to 10% on purpose, so nobody can find the account. The client agreed to let us publish this case study.
We publish every case study with the client's permission, and we never name anyone who did not ask to be named. We're happy to look at your account too.
